Owned by the Victorian Government Office of Housing, Carrical has been managed since 1987 by Servants In Hawthorn. In 1987 it was converted into a purpose built rooming house with 8 fully self-contained units and a boarding house of 29 rooms with shared amenities.
To be eligible to reside at Carrical tenants must meet low-income eligibility requirements.
Servants aims to provide each and every tenant with the dignity and respect that we believe all individuals are entitled to. Although there are no official support services at Carrical there is a level of staff support that ensures that residents are appropriately linked in to local social, psych and recreational services.
A strong sense of community living exists at Carrical and most of our residents have been with us for many years.
